The Council of Ministers of the European Communities meeting on 17th December, 1974, agreed in principle to the Regulation establishing the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training.
The regulation was formally adopted by a Council meeting on 10th February, 1975, and it was decided to locate the centre in West Berlin.
The centre will be administered by a management board comprising 30 members. Of these 30 members, nine will represent the governments of the member states, nine the employers' organisations, nine the trade unions and three the commission.
