I have not made any proposals for extending the post-primary educational course by adding a post-leaving certificate year. If the Deputy is referring to the proposal made in 1967 for an Advanced Certificate to be taken one year after the Leaving Certificate, the position is that the arrangements then under consideration were not in fact brought into operation.
