Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Medico-Social Board.

1.

asked the Minister for Health the amount of the annual State grant payable to the Medico-Social Board.

asked the Minister for Health the additional funds, if any, other than State grants, received from Irish sources during the past two years by the Medico-Social Board.

asked the Minister for Health the additional funds, if any, received from non-Irish sources during the past two years by the Medico-Social Board.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 1 to 3 together.

The amount of State grant towards the operating costs of the Medico-Social Research Board for the year ended 31st March, 1974 was £105,000. The total grant paid for the nine months April to December, 1974 was £85,000. The grant for 1975 will be about £180,000.

Grants from Irish sources, other than State grants, in the past two years amounted to £3,000 in 1974 and £4,000 in 1975. Grants from sources abroad in the last two years amounted to £4,407 in 1974 and £11,663 in 1975.

4.

asked the Minister for Health the number of recognised full-time staff members employed by the Medico-Social Board.

The total number of full-time staff at present employed by the Medico-Social Research Board is 24.
