Vol. 287 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Redundant Worker.

20.

asked the Minister for Labour why a person (name supplied) in County Limerick who is redundant from a factory (name supplied) in Shannon since September, 1975 has not yet been paid his redundancy entitlement.

Claims for lump sum payments direct from the redundancy fund have been received from a number of former employees of the company concerned, including the person named by the Deputy. Payment of his lump sum entitlement to the person named has now been made. He has already received the redundancy weekly payments to which he was entitled.

Could I ask the Minister when the payments were made?

I have not got the date, but I am sure the Deputy will be glad it has been paid.

So the Minister does not know what "now" means.

I do not know the date, but payment was made.
