On 26th November last, Comhairle na nOspidéal approved the creation of an additional whole time post of surgeon under the South Eastern Health Board, based on Our Lady's Hospital, Cashel. The filling of this post is at present under examination by the health board in the light of their approved budgetary allocation for the current year.
