Vol. 287 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Tipperary School.

77.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in finishing the new national school in Tipperary town.

In November, 1974, the reverend manager placed a contract for the erection of this school which was planned to provide for ten classrooms and a general purposes room. The Department of Education later found that two additional classrooms were needed. The original contract date for completion was the 31st December, 1975 but, of course, an extension of time must be allowed for the extra work.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been informed by the manager's architects that the school is expected to be completed by the end of next month.
