Vol. 287 No. 9

Written Answers. - Youghal Wharf.

80.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will make a grant available towards the cost of the construction of a wharf at the Ferry Slip, Youghal, County Cork which is essential for the present needs and future development of the fishing and tourist industry in the area.

I presume that the question relates to Ferry Point, Youghal. As I explained in answer to a similar question on 16th January, 1975, expenditure on providing a wharf here would not be justified in view of the landing and berthage facilities which are available on the other side of the Blackwater River.
