Vol. 287 No. 9

Written Answers. - Polio Victim Transport.

94.

asked the Minister for Education if he will provide a taxi service to and from St. Finbarr's College, Farranferris, Cork, for a person (name supplied) who is a polio victim confined to a wheelchair and who will sit for the leaving certificate in two years' time.

There is no provision in the free transport scheme under which transport can be made available in individual cases. I am, however, having the case raised by the Deputy further examined to see whether the assistance made available up to now through the Southern Health Board can be continued.
