asked the Minister for Finance if he has any proposals to drain the Cooraclare/Doonbeg river, County Clare.

It is not possible to forecast when the Cooraclare/Doonbeg catchment may be reached in the national arterial drainage programme of the Commissioners of Public Works. This catchment is not included in the settled priority lists which have been upheld by successive Governments.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the serious flooding caused by the Cloon river, County Clare; and if he has any proposals to deal with the situation.
