Vol. 288 No. 10

Written Answers. - Medical Card Application.

70.

asked the Minister for Health if he will investigate why a person in County Cork (name supplied) was refused a medical card by the Southern Health Board and why his statement of income as verified by the Revenue Commissioners was not accepted; and if the position will now be rectified and the card issued.

It is a matter for the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to determine whether or not this person is entitled to a medical card. In this particular case I understand that a medical card was refused because the applicant failed to produce a statement of his income.
