Vol. 288 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Cork School Electricity Supply.

82.

asked the Minister for Education if he will take steps to have electricity extended to Keimaneigh national school, Ballingeary, County Cork, which has been wired in anticipation of the extension of supply.

No application has been received for the installation of electricity at Keimaneigh national school, nor have my Department any knowledge of the buildings having been wired for electricity.

As the school is small and antiquated and due eventually for absorption into the proposed new central school in Ballingeary, the payment of a grant towards the cost of carrying out improvement works would not be warranted.
