asked the Minister for Local Government why a new house grant has not been paid to a person (name supplied) in County Offaly.

As the floor area of this house exceeds the statutory maximum of 116 sq. metres—1,249 sq ft.—a grant is not payable.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will expedite payment of the balance of a grant to a person (name supplied) in County Cork.

When my Department are informed that outstanding items of work, which have been notified to the applicant, have been carried out, an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of the balance of the grant.
