I have been informed by the Industrial Development Authority that since the 24,000 sq. ft. advance factory was completed in the town in May last year the authority have been working intensively to secure a suitable project for it. Industrialists have been taken to view the factory at Mallow on 19 occasions but no positive proposals for the establishment of an industry in the advance factory have yet emerged.
I have asked the IDA to continue their vigorous efforts to secure new industries for Mallow.
