I move:
That it be an instruction to the Committee on the Misuse of Drugs Bill, 1973, that it has power to make provision in the Bill:
(a) to transfer the functions of the Medical Registration Council under the Pharmacopoeia Act, 1931, to the Minister for Health,
(b) to make such modification to the said Act as will provide for the adoption of, as official standards, the monographs of any official compendium of medicines adopted under any international agreement or arrangement to which the State may become a party,
(c) to amend section 65 of the Health Act, 1947 (which provides for the control of the advertisement or sale of medical and toilet preparations), and
(d) for any other matter subordinate or incidental to those above.
