Vol. 293 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - County Waterford Estate.

14.

asked the Minister for Lands the position of the Land Commission with respect to the Crowley estate, Ardmore, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The property referred to became vested in the Land Commission on 21st June, 1974, the appointed day fixed in respect thereof. As possession of the lands was not forthcoming the Land Commission obtained an order for possession but agreed to defer its execution until the owner had removed his crops. Subsequently an application was made by the owner to have his case reconsidered in the light of his changed personal circumstances. The matter was considered by the Land Commission but they decided to adhere to their previous decision.

Arrangements are now being made to have the order for possession executed.
