Vol. 293 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Housing Grants.

6.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the collapse of a building firm (details supplied) in Cork; and if he will ensure that any grants applied for in respect of their houses will be made payable to the owners.

I am aware of certain problems with the firm named. There is no record in my Department of applications for housing grants from this firm but applications were received from a number of persons who arranged for houses to be built by the firm. Such grants are payable to the individuals concerned if they are eligible and the houses are completed to grant standards.
