Vol. 295 No. 5

Written Answers. - Pay-related Benefit.

48.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why pay-related benefit was refused to a person (details supplied) in County Laois who is on disability benefit since 6th May, 1976.

The person referred to by the Deputy is not entitled to pay-related benefit in respect of his claim for disability benefit from 6th May, 1976, as, according to the information supplied to my Department by the Revenue Commissioners, his reckonable earnings in the relevant income tax year, 1974-75, on which his entitlement to this benefit is based, were less than the required minimum of £700.
