Vol. 296 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - State Borrowings.

8.

asked the Minister for Finance the borrowings by the Exchequer that are due for repayment during each of the years 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981; and the sources (a) foreign and (b) national to which they will be repaid.

Since the reply consists mainly of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

In addition small savings totalling about £190m. are repayable virtually on demand while £120m. in Exchequer Bills is repayable on various dates up to three months ahead.

9.

asked the Minister for Finance the borrowings by State and semi-State bodies that are due for repayment during each of the years 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981; and the sources (a) foreign and (b) national to which they will be repaid.

The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available and is being collected. I would suggest that the Deputy repeat the question in, say, a fortnight.
