asked the Minister for Agriculture the steps that have been taken by the Land Commission to acquire the J.P. Hurley estate at Knockorley, County Offaly, which is at present on the public market.

The Land Commission have served a notice of their intention to inspect the property referred to with a view to determining whether acquisition proceedings should be instituted. Until such time as the inspection has been completed it is not possible to say what action will be taken in regard to the lands.
