40.

andMr. Power asked the Minister for Finance if he will indicate his intentions with regard to the future of Barrettstown Castle, County Kildare, and Russborough House, County Wicklow; and if he will guarantee continuity of work to the present employees.

Barrettstown Castle estate is to come to the State under a trust arrangement the legal details of which are being processed. A decision has not yet been taken about the future of the property but it is the intention that the present employees will be retained.

Russborough House, County Wicklow is not coming to the State. As the Deputies are aware the Minister for Agriculture on 31st March, 1977, replied to a question about the lands attached to Russborough.
