Vol. 298 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Westmeath Drainage Work.

41.

asked the Minister for Finance if work on the drain which starts at Crookedwood, County West-meath, and which runs through Lismalady and Multyfarnham to Derravaragh will be completed as soon as possible as it is impeding work on the land project being undertaken in the area.

This drain was deepened and widened during the construction works on the Inny catchment drainage scheme. I am advised that since then regular maintenance works have been carried out and that it is functioning satisfactorily according to design as a drainage channel.
