Vol. 298 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coastal Protection.

42.

Mr. R. Burke

asked the Minister for Finance if he will co-operate with Dublin City Council in their plans for coastal protection works in their area.

The Dublin County Council have sent proposals under the Coast Protection Act, 1963 to the Commissioners of Public Works for eight locations in the county. The examination of these will be undertaken as soon as possible but having regard to the many prior commitments throughout the country it will be some years before the required investigations will be carried out.
