Vol. 299 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Polling Stations.

73.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the numerous complaints regarding the siting of polling stations in the Dublin constituencies at the 1974 local election, he will ensure that the City Sheriff carries out the alternative arrangements that were suggested.

The making of a scheme setting out the polling districts and polling places is a reserved function of the elected members of Dublin Corporation. A new polling scheme made by the corporation for the Dublin city area came into force on 15th April, 1977. All future elections will be conducted in accordance with this new polling scheme until such time as it is superseded by a further revised scheme.
