asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of people in employment in the Shannon Industrial Estate in 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976.
I am informed by SFADCo that the number of people employed in the Shannon Industrial Estate was 4,551 at 31st December, 1973, 4,124 at 31st December, 1974, 3,844 at 31st December, 1975, 4,033 at 31st December, 1976. The numbers in question include people employed by State agencies as well as those employed in manufacturing and service industries.
