Vol. 299 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Cork School.

64.

asked the Minister for Finance whether progress on the erection of a new national school at Passage West, County Cork is satisfactory; and when he expects the school to be ready for occupation.

When the contractor appointed in February, 1977, commenced work on the completion of this school it was found necessary to undertake a detailed investigation of part of the work carried out earlier. The investigation is in hands and until the results are known it will not be possible to say when the building will be completed. I am aware of the unfortunate history of this school and I can assure the Deputy that every effort will be made to secure completion with the minimum of delay.
