Vol. 299 No. 8

Written Answers. - Meath Ambulance.

57.

asked the Minister for Health if he will authorise the North Eastern Health Board to provide an ambulance on a permanent basis at the hospital in Trim, County Meath, so that an ambulance will not have to come from Navan in emergency cases.

My authorisation is not necessary as to location of ambulances. I have made inquiries from the health board in the matter, however, and I understand that there are four ambulances located at Navan, which is about ten miles from Trim and serving the latter area also. This provision is regarded by the board as adequate.
