It is estimated that expenditure by health boards on administration will amount to 0.142 per cent of the GNP in 1977. The corresponding percentage for 1976 is estimated at 0.159 per cent.
In arriving at these percentages the figures adopted as the costs of administration, relate to general administrative costs and do not include costs specific to individual hospitals, health centres, and so on.
