Virtually all 1976 social insurance cards of male employees of the Office of Public Works were returned to the Department of Social Welfare on 21st January, 1977. For varying reasons a very small proportion of cards were transmitted later than that date and some before it. The insurance cards of female employees are returned to the Department of Social Welfare early in July each year.
