Vol. 299 No. 11

Written Answers. - Garda Patrols.

22.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will, by way of increased overtime or otherwise, arrange for an immediate and substantial increase in Garda street patrols in the Edenmore/Raheny area of Dublin with a view to reducing the incidence of vandalism in the area.

I indicated in the House on 3rd May that consideration was being given to the provision of extra funds to permit increased Garda patrolling in Dublin. Arrangements to that effect have now been made including an additional foot patrol in the Coolock sub-district at weekends and at other times of special need.
