Vol. 301 No. 1

Social Welfare (Consolidation) Bill, 1976: Message from Seanad.

Seanad Éireann has passed the following Resolution:—

That Seanad Éireann concurs with Dáil Éireann in its Resolution communicated to Seanad Éireann on 12th day of October, 1977, that it is expedient that the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Bill, 1976, which has lapsed and which before lapsing stood referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills be revived and proceeded with at that stage.

I move:

That, in pursuance of Standing Order No. 105 of the Standing Orders relative to Public Business, the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Bill, 1976, which had stood referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills prior to the dissolution of Dáil Éireann on 25th May, 1977, be restored to the Order Paper.

This motion is simply restoring the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Bill, 1976, to the Order Paper.

Question put and agreed to.
