Vol. 301 No. 5

Written Answers. - Paid Maternity Leave.

464.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state in detail in relation to each semi-State body associated with his Department, what arrangements, if any, exist for the provision of paid maternity leave for their employees; and, in the case of any which do not have such arrangements, the steps he proposes to take to see that such arrangements are made.

Each semi-State body associated with my Department is authorised to grant 12 weeks maternity leave with full pay, less any social welfare allowance and pay-related benefit payable on foot of a person's social welfare insurance.

I am not aware of any such body which does not make arrangements of this nature.
