asked the Minister for Education the total amount of money spent by County Donegal VEC for reconstruction or repair of their school buildings during the 4-year period ending the 30th June, 1977.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take Questions Nos. 484 and 485 together. The information requested by the Deputy in relation to the expenditure on new buildings during the four-year period ending the 30th June, 1977 is not available from the records of my Department. I have asked the chief executive officer of the County Donegal Vocational Education Committee to furnish the necessary information which I will communicate to the Deputy as soon as it is received in my Department. In the meantime, I can say that a total of £122,600 was advanced to the County Donegal Vocational Education Committee from the Local Loans Fund during the period, of which £102,000 was for the provision of classrooms.
