Vol. 302 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Donegal Hospital.

330.

asked the Minister for Health if he has made any decision regarding the change of use of Saint Joseph's Hospital, Stranorlar, County Donegal.

On 13th October, 1977, a detailed proposal was received from the health board involving complex changes in plans for the care of the aged and the mentally handicapped in Donegal. This involved changing St. Joseph's into a home for the mentally handicapped. There have been discussions between the Department and the board on this and these are continuing. Until a number of points are clarified, I will not be able to give a decision on this plan.
