Vol. 302 No. 3

Written Answers. - Special Trainee Teachers.

303.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state, in relation to his recent discussions with interested parties in connection with the introduction of special trainee teachers into primary schools: (a) the management interests consulted and (b) if such consultations included any elected parent members of primary school management boards.

In accordance with standard practice, representatives of the recognised managerial associations were invited to send representatives to meetings held in relation to the scheme in question. On such occasions the associations select their own representatives to attend the meeting in question and the Minister for Education does not make inquiries as to the qualifications of the members of the delegations.
