Vol. 302 No. 6

Written Answers. - Radio Ambulances.

200.

asked the Minister for Health the percentage of ambulances in the State that have two-way radio; and if he is satisfied with the situation, in view of the clear advantages for the health of patients of such radios being universally available.

Two-way radio telephones are availble in all ambulances used for accident and emergency purposes in the State and the great majority of minibuses, used by the health boards for conveying ambulant patients to and from clinics and hospital out-patient departments, are also equipped with such radio telephones. I am satified with the situation.
