I assume that the Deputy is referring to the development branch of the Department, the planning and statistical functions of which have since 1973 been discharged in separate divisions of the Department.
The structure of the Department is reviewed from time to time in the context of changing needs and circumstances. I am having such a review made at present and pending its completion I am not in a position to comment on the possible future departmental structure and the staffing and responsibilities of particular divisions.
