The number of men employed on the construction of local authority houses in June, 1975, June, 1976, and June, 1977 was 7,099, 5,339 and 6,506 respectively. The corresponding figures for November, 1975, and November, 1976, were 6,686 and 6,043. The figure for November, 1977, is not available. The latest date for which local authority housing employment statistics are available is October, 1977 when 6,779 men were employed.
