asked the Minister for Labour if he will consider making available to trade unions, the IDA and other appropriate authorities, the consultants reports in connection with Labour Court inability to pay assessments where such reports indicate that a company is in serious economic difficulty.

The Labour Court are precluded under section 22 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946, from including in any report any information obtained by it under the Act as to the business carried on by any person, which is not available otherwise than through evidence given at the proceedings, without the consent of the persons concerned.

The Act also prohibits any members, officers, servants or the registrar of the court or any person concerned in the proceedings without such consent to disclose any such information.
