Sketch plans for a new Garda station and residence at Buttevant have been prepared and the Commissioners of Public Works are in consultation with the planning authority on certain aspects of the scheme. Subject to agreement being reached it is hoped to commence the preparation of contract documents shortly and to have a contract for the work placed by next autumn.
