asked the Taoiseach the prices obtained by agricultural producers as a percentage of consumer expenditure on the following commodities of domestic origin in each year since 1970 to date: (a) bread grains, (b) potatoes for human consumption, (c) sugar beet, (d) vegetables, (e) wool, (f) textiles of any kind containing natural fibres, (g) leather, (h) meat, (i) milk and milk products, (j) eggs, and (k) crops and animal products combined.

On the basis of the information collected for the compilation of the consumer price index and the agricultural price index the ratio of agricultural prices to consumer prices for potatoes, milk and eggs are as follows:—
