Vol. 303 No. 1

Written Answers. - Free Travel Facilities.

313.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange for old age pensioners to be allowed free travel facilities on public service transport vehicles in Northern Ireland, in view of the fact that the present arrangement militates against those in Border areas whose travel needs are as great but are in Northern Ireland, and who consequently are being deprived of travel facilities due to the lack of agreement between the British authorities and his Department.

I do not at present contemplate any action along the lines described in the question.
