143 have arrears of less than £500
53 have arrears of £500 to £1,000

29 have arrears of over £10,000.
Legal proceedings were initiated by BIM against 18 boat purchasers in 1977 for recovery of arrears; of these 4 cases were concluded in 1977.
One boat was repossessed by BIM in 1977.
At present the total number of borrowers for the purchase of boats with BIM is 438.
