Vol. 303 No. 1

Written Answers. - Donegal Water Scheme.

367.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he proposes to sanction the grant towards the cost of Fintown, County Donegal group water scheme; and if he is aware of the great need in the area for domestic piped water supply in addition to the need for piped water to service the advance factory which industrialists have taken an interest in but await water supply.

The revised proposal submitted by Donegal County Council in November has recently been discussed with local officials and additional design details are to be supplied. When this information is furnished by the county council, my Department will be in a position to assess the proposal referred to by the Deputy. I am aware of the demand for the provision of piped water in the area.
