Vol. 303 No. 2

Written Answers. - Social Insurance Stamp Sales.

334.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of social insurance stamps sold in each week of January 1978 in respect of insured persons earning less than £50 per week.

Information regarding the numbers of stamps sold at post offices throughout the country is furnished to my Department by the Department of Posts and Telegraphs at quarterly intervals. This information gives only the total numbers of stamps sold at the various rates during the quarter and does not contain a breakdown of the numbers sold on a weekly basis. In the circumstances it is not possible to furnish the information sought by the Deputy.
