Vol. 303 No. 2

Written Answers. - Bord na Móna Trading.

341.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy if Bord na Móna will cease the selling of the produce of their Lullymore nursery on the home market in competition with private enterprises which are not being subsidised, and which are giving good employment.

Bord na Móna, in the past season, sold shrubs on the home market to commercial nursery men who would otherwise have had to import stocks. The board now understands that home producers can meet the home market requirements and, in conformity with its policy of not competing with local shrub producers, the board has discontinued sales on the home market.
