The 1978 Estimates volume takes account of this reclassification and details the day-to-day running costs of the various departmental services, apart from those charged directly on the Central Fund. Excluding the items which I am announcing to-day, non-capital supply services will cost £1,869 million in 1978. This is some £272 million or 17 per cent more than was spent last year.
