Vol. 305 No. 1

Written Answers. - Housing Scheme Completion.

505.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will investigate why a builder (details supplied) has not completed the building of houses for which a large sum has been paid down.

This is a matter for settlement between the purchaser and the builder and not one in which my Department can intervene. Where a grant has been applied for in respect of a new house, the Department's concern is to ensure that the building has been satisfactorily completed before the grant is paid. However, no grant has been applied for by the person named by the Deputy.
