Vol. 305 No. 9

Written Answers. - Unmarried Mothers' Allowances.

335.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware of a delay in the payment of unmarried mothers' allowances; and if he will take steps to rectify the matter

Every effort is made by my Department to ensure that applications for these allowances are dealt with as quickly as possible and I am not aware of any undue delay in such cases. If, however, the Deputy has a particular case in mind, I shall have it investigated if he will let me have the details.
