Vol. 305 No. 9

Written Answers. - Ireland UN Voting.

342.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the various resolutions which have been voted on by the United Nations since Ireland joined that organisation; and how the Irish delegation voted on each occasion.

I assume that the Deputy has in mind resolutions adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations. As some 2,800 resolutions have been adopted by the General Assembly since Ireland joined the United Nations in December 1955, the Deputy will appreciate that it would be impracticable to furnish details on this scale in the Official Report. I understand that volumes containing the resolutions adopted each year are available in the Dáil Library but that these volumes do not contain voting details. However, if the Deputy has an interest in any particular resolutions I should, of course, be glad to supply him with details on request.
