asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a person in County Kerry (details supplied) did not qualify for a free electricity allowance, since she is in receipt of disability allowance from the Southern Health Board.

The person concerned did not qualify for a free electricity allowance as she stated on her application form that she was an invalidity pensioner and this was not correct. The application has now been approved with effect from the February-March 1978 billing period as the Southern Health Board have confirmed that she is a recipient of a disabled person's maintenance allowance.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when an application for a free electricity allowance will be granted to a person in County Kerry (details supplied).

An application for a free electricity allowance from the person concerned has been approved with effect from the January-February 1978 billing period.
